Ken Strong

HEAD COACH 
USPHL Elite + Premier 

With an impressive resume spanning decades in hockey, Strong has proven himself a

formidable force in the sport. His extensive playing career includes notable stints in the NHL

with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and over 15 years playing for the Austrian National Team

including the 1994 Olympic Games.

 

Following his playing career, Strong transitioned seamlessly into coaching, where he has

continued to make a significant impact. His coaching experience includes working with junior

hockey programs such as the Toronto Marlboros, where he coached players such as Connor

McDavid and Sam Bennett.

Noah Wild

ASST COACH 
USPHL Elite + Premier 

​The Florida Jr Everblades are excited to announce that Noah Wild will be joining the organization as an Assistant Coach for the 2024-2025 season. Noah recently retired from playing professionally in the FPHL and is looking to share the knowledge he gained throughout his playing career.

Growing up on Long Island, New York, Noah attended the Northwood Prep school in Lake Placid, where he played out of the historic 1980 Olympic rink, then joining the Long Island Junior Royals (MJHL) to begin his Juniors career.  He spent the next two years in the EHL with The Philadelphia Revolution and the New York AppleCore, where he was named Captain for his final season of Juniors. After Juniors, Noah attended Post University (Waterbury, CT), gaining a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, while playing for the Post Eagles NCAA D3 team for 4 years, serving as Assistant Captain for his final 3 years.
 

Rod Simmons

PRESIDENT & DIRECTOR OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS

Rod Simmons brings over 30 years of hockey experience to the Jr Blades organization. For the past two seasons, Simmons has operated as the Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for both Premier and Elite teams. In his first season, Coach Simmons brought both teams to the USPHL Playoffs and Premier all the way to the USPHL National Tournament in Massachusetts.

Simmons’ coaching career began in 1998 with Jr Hockey in Ontario, Canada. Since then, Simmons has coached for various Jr Hockey and NCAA Hockey teams in the Northeast United States and Canada. Most recently prior to joining the Jr Blades, Simmons worked as the Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach at Bridgton Academy (USHS-Prep) in Maine. Simmons has been awarded Coach of the Year four different times in two different leagues and has developed hundreds of players who have gone on to have successful collegiate and professional careers.

Jason Incardone

Coach Jay Incardone will be returning this season as Assistant/Goalie coach for the Florida Junior Blades Elite and Premier teams.   Coach Incardone’s playing experience includes minor AAA hockey, which lead to Junior hockey in the Empire Junior Hockey League and eventually a collegiate career playing for the Cortland State University Red Dragons.   He has twelve years coaching experience, starting at the tier 2 level with various programs in NJ as well as at the AAA level with the New York Aviators, as well as being the inaugural 2007 AAA Brooklyn Knighthawks head coach.   Most recently, in addition to coaching with the Jr Blades last season Coach Incardone served as the goalie instructor for the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles ACHA D3 team.  Coach Incardone is very excited to be back with the Jr Blades this season.

Ron Kinnear

OWNER

With over 35 years of experience in the hockey business, Ron Kinnear brings a wealth of knowledge to the Florida Jr Blades Organization. Ron also oversees the P.A.L. Islanders (Long Island, NY) Midget, Jr, and NCDC programs in the USPHL. 

​

Ron has helped lead teams to 12 USA Hockey National appearances with a National Championship Title in 2008. Ron has produced numerous NHL, professional, and collegiate players and continues to dedicate his time to the development of USA hockey.
