FILORAMO-RAMA: Rookie Forward Paces Jr. Blades in Thursday Night Win

ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Jr. Blades Elite team won their first game against the Florida Eels this season behind an impressive five goal outburst from Rookie Forward Thomas Filorama. The Jr. Blades win puts them on a three-game winning streak dating back to Saturday November 13.

After falling behind 2-1 early in the first period, FJB Elite was able to score two goals, Filoramo’s second and Brody Neish, to even the score at three goals a piece going into the first intermission. J.C. Garbacik scored a shorthanded goal at 5:49 of the second period and the Jr. Blades ended the second period knotted at four goals a piece. The Jr. Blades blew it wide open in the third period behind another goal by Garbacik and three more goals from Filoramo to take the game by a final score of 8-5.

With the five goal performance, Filoramo is now on a nine-game goal scoring streak and leads the entire USPHL Elite Division with 20 goals in just 18 games played.

Jr. Blades Elite and Premier teams open up a two game homestand against the visiting Atlanta Mad Hatters at Hertz Arena this weekend. Elite will play Saturday at 12:15 PM and Sunday at 9:15 AM followed by Premier at 3:15 and 12:15 respectively. Tickets are available to purchase at the door for $5, and as always these games are available to be streamed on Hockey TV.
