ESTERO, FL – The Florida Jr. Blades, an established member of the USPHL Hockey Association, announced today Josh Robinson as the organization’s Goaltending Coach beginning with the 2021-2022 season.
Familiarity, won’t be an issue for Robinson as he has already had one stint with the Florida Jr. Blades Organization from 2017-2020 as the Goaltending Coach.
The Frankenmuth, Michigan native returns to the jr. Blades after a season hiatus where he was working as the Goaltending Coach and Video Coach for the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. Robinson will continue to work with the Florida Everblades as well as the Florida Jr. Blades organization.
"We are very excited to have Josh back with our organization” said Head Coach Rod Simmons “We will build our team from the net out, so having someone with Josh is a bonus for the Blades"
In 2015-16 Robinson was named ECHL Goaltender of the Year after a standout season with the Missouri Mavericks posting a 28-2-1 record that included a league-best 1.88 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.
“I am very excited to be back working with the Jr. Blades goalie’s next season” Robinson said. “I look forward to helping the goalies develop both on and off the ice. While hopefully helping them move on to the next step in their hockey careers”.
