Jr. Blades Fall to Eels in Rematch

ESTERO, Fla. – The Jr. Blades fell to the Florida Eels on Wednesday night by a final score of 7-5.. The Blades were led by a trio of forwards, Brett Beale, Cole Ketola, and Cam Croteau, who combined for four goals and seven assists on the night. Goaltender Tyler Ledux stopped 41 of 48 shots in the losing effort.


After trailing 1-0 after the first period, Croteau tied the game just 1:14 into the middle frame off a feed from Ketola. Florida Eels leading point scorer Taurin Haddon-Harris tallied two quick goals less than three minutes apart before Blade’s defenseman Austin Weber brought them back within one, his first goal of the season. The two teams would trade goals back and forth, ending the second period with the Eels leading 5-4. Haddon-Harris would score his third goal of the night at 12:28 of the third period, which would end up being the game winner.


The Blades will be back in action this weekend on Saturday and Sunday at home against the Palm Beach Typhoon. Elite will play at 12:15 PM both days followed by Premier at 3:15 PM, all games will be held on the main ice sheet at Hertz Arena.
